The historic VITS (Vedant) Hotel near Sambhajinagar Railway Station has been sold for ₹64.82 crore to ‘Siddhant’ company through a court-ordered auction. After six failed attempts, the seventh auction succeeded with a fixed price. However, controversy has erupted. Opposition leader Ambadas Danve has alleged a low-bid scam and demanded a high-level inquiry. Reports also claim that Minister Sanjay Shirsat’s son Siddhant withdrew from the bidding process.
